Description:

After quite a dramatic build-up, Daniel finally reveals to Nebuchadnezzar both the content and the interpretation of his dream. We will discuss the details of the great image of the dream and its various interpretations by scholars. But we will not let our focus be distracted from Daniel's primary purpose in this narrative-- to draw a sharp contrast between the fleeting kingdoms of man and the eternal Kingdom of Heaven. We will analyze this far-reaching concept from multiple perspectives: including biblical, prophetic and historical. Ultimately, we will compare our own time in history against the model given to us here and realize that Christ's Kingdom is the only one that will truly last. And therefore all trust and toil given to earthly kingdoms is as Solomon said, "vanity of vanities".
