Description:

As we continue to work our way through Daniels' amazing "seventy-week" prophecy, we will concentrate in this lesson on the timeline of the advent of the "anointed one". Remembering that Daniel is receiving this vision from the angel Gabriel as a result of his beautiful prayer of humility and contrition, we will keep in perspective that God is revealing His ultimate plan of redemption through Jesus the Christ. We will do our best to unravel the mysteries of the prophecy without getting overly technical, but still trying to consider the challenges in fitting the prophecy into redemptive history. Ultimately we will be amazed at the accuracy of the prophecy and the unmistakeable fact that God is clearly revealing to Daniel that the glory he seeks for God, the salvation and righteousness he desires for his people, and the restoration of the Temple of worship, will all ultimately be accomplished in the coming of the anointed one.
