Description:

In a classic example of John's subtle use of repetition, our text for this message repeats almost verbatim the words Jesus spoke in the 11th verse. But inserted in the middle of the repetition is a short poem about knowing and being known-- one of the most fundamental needs we as humans have. We will analyze this poem and the comparison Jesus makes between His relationship with the Father and His relationship with His true followers. We will discover that the depth of knowledge, intimacy, experience and relationship Jesus is revealing for those who love Him is positively glorious! Ultimately we will marvel in awe as David did and exclaim, "Such knowledge is too wonderful for me!", as we learn the value of knowing and being known by Christ.
